Who They Are

UIC Campus Housing aims to provide an educational advantage to their student-residents by providing a better living experience through open communication. With engaging interactions and great services, they aim to provide a “vibrant living environment in the heart of Chicago.”

Challenge

UIC Housing decided they needed a better way to reach their students to remind them to fill out their housing applications and contracts before the semester deadline.

Solution

Our account managers worked with UIC Housing staff. First, we suggested adding in a text opt-in clause to their housing application. Then, we text-enabled their existing landline phone number, allowing them to engage in two-way conversations with students. Overall, UIC Housing was blown away by the response and engagement rates. In fact, out of the 40,000 students that interacted with UIC Housing, nearly 99% of them opted into texting!
